Closing & Game Settings
Closing — Config.outro
| Option | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
enabled | true | The closing animation. Off takes the screen down the moment the game is ready |
speed | 1 | 1 is the designed pace, 0.5–2 |
hold | 0.45 | Seconds the logo holds in the middle before the light leaves it, 0–3 |
showName | false | Bring the server name back under the logo as it comes home |
musicFade | 1.8 | Seconds the music takes to fade out, 0–8. Never longer than the closing |
Game Side — Config.game
These last settings are about the resource rather than the picture.
| Option | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
handover | true | Hand the settings to the screen while the player connects. Turn off only if another resource owns the connection queue and hands the data over itself (see Exports & Events) |
closeWhen | 'session' | When the screen is asked to close — see below |
closeAfter | 0.0 | Seconds to wait after that moment before asking the screen to close |
closeTimeout | 2.0 | Seconds of slack before the resource takes the screen down anyway, on top of the time the closing needs. Only matters if the screen never answers — keep it short |
httpBase | '' | Where this resource answers web requests, for online song links. Empty uses the address the player connected to — right for almost every server |
debug | false | Print what the resource is doing to the F8 console: when the screen is asked to close, how long it needs, and what took it down |
closeWhen
| Value | The screen is asked to close when… |
|---|---|
'session' | the world is loaded and the session has started — where the game would normally have taken the screen down (default) |
'spawned' | the player's character has spawned. On a server with character selection this keeps the screen up until a character has been chosen |
'manual' | never by itself: your own script calls exports.code9_loading:close() or triggers code9_loading:close |
httpBase
Online song links are played from a small page this resource serves on your server (http://<your server>:30120/code9_loading/). Set httpBase only if your server answers web requests somewhere else — behind a proxy, or on another name or port:
lua
httpBase = 'https://play.yourserver.com'
-- or
httpBase = 'http://203.0.113.10:30120'
Songs from audio files under ui/media/music/ never need this.
